The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Sizing a job bid for SBS2003 Exchange Installation

On behalf of a customer, I'm trying to see if I can find out the approximate time, in hours, it would take a qualified rep to do an Exchange installation & setup on a SBS2003 Server.

Customer currently is running on noted server, has 35 POP3 accounts running off his local ISP's service and wants to bring his email operations in-house and run email off his SBS2003 server.

I'm trying to determine what would be a reasonable expectation in terms of time to implement a "turn-key" solution for this customer. (i.e; converting all 35users off ISP accounts onto in-house server) This information for use as we review bids.

Scope of work, as I've been able to determine up to this point, would be:

Pre-install fact-finding requirements (enough resources on server, firewall compatibility, etc)
Firewall configuration / setup / testing
Installation of Exchange 2003 SBS onto server.
Configuration of Exchange 2003 SBS as relates to server config / User Account creations
Migration of 35 end users off ISP service onto in-house Exchange system
SPAM Configuration / Management as pertains to running on Exchange system
AntiVirus configuation / management as pertains to Exchange mailboxes

Those are the bullet items that come to mind on my initial review of such a  project. Please feel free to make aware any other project item tasks relevant to this project. Or any other suggestions, recommendations on evaluating this project. Thank you.
