With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. System Administrator Undeliverable Spam Messages

Tags: Microsoft, Exchange, 2003, SPAM: Undeliverable Email Messages from System Administrator

ENVIORNMENT:

Windows 2003 Standard sp1
Exchange 2003 sp2 - Enterprise
Outlook 2003 sp3
External SPAM filter via St. Bernard Systems

Internal IMF settings of:

Block messages with an SCL rating greater than or equal to: 8
When blocking messages: Do Nothing

Set threshold to move email to Junke Email folder settings:

Move messages with an SCL rating greater than or equal to: 4

PROBLEM:

Users are complaining that they are recieving messages from System Administrator that they did not send. On average each of the users see 30-40 of these messages in the morning when they come in.
Users did not send this email. This is obvious spam but I want to make sure that I have correctly set up my Exchange enviornment to prevent this.

EXAMPLE:

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

Subject: Britney does it again
Sent: 4/9/2008 7:02 AM

The following recipient(s) cannot be reached:

serveritalsoftmailing@italsoft.net on 4/9/2008 8:52 AM
The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.
