The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Exchange email bounce

Asked by HookDuke in Exchange Email Server, Email Servers, Email Protocols

Tags: , ,

We have recently installed a new Exchange 2003 server on our domain to migrate an old failing server. The name of the new server is different than that of the old server.

Email seems to be working well except for occassionally someone will receive a bounce message similar to the following.

It seems to always be the same person sending to the same box that doesn't work.

Here is the bounce message I receive.

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

      Subject:      test
      Sent:      4/16/2008 12:47 PM

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

      Accounting on 4/16/2008 12:47 PM
The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this message was sent to.  Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient directly to find out the correct address.
            <admindc2.moonlightbasin.com #5.1.1>

We have typed in the full email address, chosen the public folder address from the GAL and sent out email using the sender address straight from the SMTP port on the Exchange server in question.

I have also logged on to the users mailbox (from my laptop) and been able send email to the same email she has been getting a bounce from. This led me to believe it was a problem with her Outlook.NK2 file. So i moved that and had her send again from her machine, but still got the same error message as above.

I am about out of ideas for what else could be causing the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Lucas
