How to stop Message Undeliverables

Hello,

This is my last attempt to try and sort this out.

I have been through many different tasks and fixes to prevent spam from being sent from out server via open relay and otehr methods.  But we have discovered that none of this is actually what is happening.

What IS happening is that someone out there is using our email names to send Mail from wherever (not our exchange) and when the mail bounces, because it has our email tags, it gets sent back to us.

How on earth can we stop this?  My users are going balistic, receiving 500-1000 or so Message Undeliverables Daily.  We set up filtering rules to put these mails into the deleted folder.  Problem is, not all the messages are tagged with Undeliverable, alot of companies that receive mail that cant be pointed to a user gets returned with a custom undeliverable reply.

The only solution is to change our email domain/names, but this is not a solution, what if it happens again?  Its maddening.
