I have a Exchange 2003 (SP2) server on a Windows Server 2003 machine. We also have 1 DC and 1 Terminal Server. The Exchange server has 4 GB RAM (boot.ini has /3GB and USERVA=3030 switches). And has approx. 40 mailboxes. The issue is we have clients using Outlook 2003 from local machines and the terminal server, periodically throughout the day the Outlook clients get messages that they lost the connection to the Exchange server and then a minute or 2 later it restores. It is completely random. Also I noticed that the server itself becomes somewhat unresponsive, I can move the mouse, open the start menu, other menus close or open slowly and closing windows will happen slowly. It will do this for about a minute then everything is fine. I found no errors in the event log, but I will keep checking. Any ideas?
