Adding a second domain name for email

Asked by driznek in Exchange Email Server, SBS Small Business Server, Simple Mail Transfer Protocol (SMTP)

Hi All,

We have a SBS2003, and existing exchange with our domain (xyz.ca), but we would like to add a second domain (xyz1.ca) to eventually switch. We want to have all employees with 2 email addresses for the next 24 months before we retire our old domain. So xyz1.ca would be a secondary address for each user to recieve email, and after 6 months change xyz1.ca to be the primary address and xyz.ca the secondary address for the remaining 18 months.

What I am looking for is a site link to the best way to accomplish this.

Has anyone else done anything alone these lines, or do you have any suggestions on how I should go about doing this?

Thanks
