Removing email addresses for public folders that no longer exist
Hi,
I recently upgraded to Exchange 2007 and removed 2003 completely. I didn't bother transferring the public folders, as I didn't really keep any data in there, so I just thought I'd re-create them.
Unfortunately, now when I do try to mail enable them it tells me that the email address already exists. Does anyone know of a way that I can removed the email addresses to enable me to re-mail enable the public folders please?
I was hoping that it could possibly be done via ADSI Edit, but I wasn't able to track anything down when I took a look.
I've attempted to restore a backup of the 2003 public folders on 2007, but with no success.
Any help or advice would be grately appreciated.

...followed the link instructions and removed the folder from ADUC.
From within System Manager, when I open properties for that public folder, I now get:
The mail proxy for this folder can not be found. This may be due to replication delays. The mail enabled pages will not be shown.
Sorry, probably should have mentioned this earlier, but during the migration, the user mailboxes moved over to the new Exchange server fine, however the public folders did not migrate over and I was forced to use the sledge-hammer approach and move them all to PSTs and recreate them. Perhaps something w/ the replication issue?

thank you so much. this worked for me.
I did the disable Mail on each folder, then deleted them
Used PFDAVAdmin to hide mail on public folders
Rebuilt the OAB
Downloaded the new address book on a few clients
Waited the 2 days following a reboot (maintenence is set for default 1-5 AM)
Finally fould this and it worked , thank you
