I have a customer that needs his outlook categories from his old profile.
I've done some research and i'm aware that older versions of outlook stored the categories in the registry. However, Oultook 2007 stores categories in the mailbox/pst (from what i've read). Here's the thing...they had an exchange 2000 server before, with Outlook 2007 client running. I've upgraded them to a new Server 2008 domain with Exchange 2007, but the categories did not carry over with the exmerge. My initial assumption is that Exchange 2000 (and exmerge) do not export the categories information since Outlook 2007 is the first to store this info within the mailbox/pst. Does anyone know of any simple way to retrieve this information?
