Outlook 2007 client prompts for password in exchange 2007 environment

we have a windows 2003 domain controller and separate windows 2003 mail server running exchange 2007 sp1. Having just completed installing a san/ucc cert and enabling forms based authentication for owa clients are being prompted for user name and password when they start outlook 2007. owa is working well and autodiscover test from outlook client passes all tests perfectly.  i have checked the "more" settings on the exchange email account and it is not set to ask for credentials.
any help would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

If you're using a proxy or ISA as a proxy, this article might lead you to the direction of solving the pop-ups:
http://trycatch.be/blogs/pdtit/archive/2008/01/30/outlook-2007-autodiscover-authentication-popup-mistery.aspx
To further ask, are you using a Self - signed certificate, or one issued from an authority?

ASKER

i am using a ucc cert from godaddy with all the relevant domain /server names to copy with both internal and external users. autodiscover.domain.com is registered with external dns. we are not using a proxy.

Sorry for delay but on GMT!
Checked the windows authenication on IIS and all appears to work! Great! Just one question ( points are forgone conclusion!) Should windows authentication AND Basic be ticked and should default domain details nedd to be filled in?

Thanks
I don't think it makes that much of a difference. I have them checked. As long as Outlook works, and OWA works, and is secured by SSL you're fine. :)
