Transfer Exchange2000 to Exchange2003

Asked by AEII in Exchange Email Server, SBS Small Business Server

Later this week I am installing a new server for a client and it will have SBS2003 installed
and using Microsoft Exchange. Their old server had SBS2000 installed.

Will I be able to do a simple NTBackup (I have updated the software and it does do a backup now)
and then restore it into the SBS2003 Exchange version ?

Are there any landmines I should be aware of ?

The Exchange Server was named SBS ... and they had set the Domain Name to their web domain name, and I would like to change this to .local ... does this have any effect on the Exchange Server ?
