We have a single server and are running exchange 2003 on this machine and have recently installed sharepoint. Of course this conflicted because sharepoint installed its site to port 80. At the moment we cannot run the sharepoint site on 80 because we have all our exchange webservices running on that port.
My question is whether or not I can run the sharepoint on the same port. I am either missing something or it cannot be done. If anything I would like to be able to still type in the same web address example.com/sharepoint/sit
e without having to have it be example.com:82/sharepoint/
site in order to access it.
Is there a way for me to create site within the default site like the exchange so we can simply type in the site extensions to our domain or am I bound to having the sharepoint on a different port than the exchange. If I am stuck with using a different port any suggestions on how to redirect so we don't have to manually put in the port would be appreciated.
Thanks
