Can I remove Exchange log files of same day - running out of space!

Help,
I'm almost down to 200mb on the C drive of the exchange server (Was lower but manged to move some stuff).

However, it currently is writing a 5mb log file each 5 mins or so.
Looking in the log file folder, it has about 3GB of log files in it but these only go back to first thing in the morning.
(Also note, I will change the log files to be located on the D drive from now on, but for now need a quick fix)
I will add that I'm performing a GFI mail archive at present from another server. Im running the exchange mailbox import program which imports old emails into its own database. I ASSUME this is the reason why so many logs are being created so quickly. I do believe GFI marks a flag in exchange to indicate a particular email has been imported already so I ASSUME this being a change to exchange data means a transaction takes place which creates a log file (I only basically understand it).

Question is, can I just move the earliest log files to the D drives right away without stopping anything?

For example take the ones from midnight unti 8am and copy them to the D drive?

I'm worried that exhange is some how still using the logs from the same day?

Please help.
