OWA 2007 page not displayed
OWA 2007 shows the following error for both internal and external access:
The page must be viewed over a secure channel
The page you are trying to access is secured with Secure Sockets Layer (SSL).
-------------------------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ----
Please try the following:
Type https:// at the beginning of the address you are attempting to reach and press ENTER.
HTTP Error 403.4 - Forbidden: SSL is required to view this resource.
Internet Information Services (IIS)
-------------------------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ---------- ----
Technical Information (for support personnel)
Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a title search for the words HTTP and 403.
Open IIS Help, which is accessible in IIS Manager (inetmgr), and search for topics titled About Security, Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), and About Custom Error Messages.
I have tried using a third party CA certificate as well as generating a self assigned certificate. When SSL is not required for the site the OWA page comes up fine.

Also...did you try to get to OWA using the self-signed cert created with the Exchg SP1 install just to verify it working?
Here are a couple very good articles explaining certs/install on Exchg 2K7 SP1:

Sorry...didn't read your last sentence about not using SSL. :)

Thanks for responding coolsport00. I actually deleted the original certificate in certificate MMC in ppreparation for using a public CA (I know...not the smartest thing to do). Since then I have tried recreating a self signed certificate through EMS. They were created and used but OWA through https did not work. This works through http when SSL is not required so I am inclined to think that it has something to do with me deleting the original self signed certificate.

Ok, this is funny.
The problem turned out not to be an SSL certificate problem. The server had 3 netowrk cards. All three were plugged into the same switch. Two network cards had dynamically assigned IP addresses. One had a statically assigned IP address. IIS was set to use All Assigned IP addresses. When that was changed to the static IP address everything worked. Go figure.

VERY interesting...thanks for sharing that solution "HaveQuestions" :)
