How to Decommission Exchange Server

How do I decommission a front end exchange server that was added to my domain, but never used? we have another front end that we will use. Do i simply uninstall Exchange software? Please let me know.

If the server you are removing was the first Exchange 2003 server in the Administrative Group, there are some additional considerations and steps to take.

If the server receives inbound internet mail/is target of any MX records, you will need to remove or modify these MX records. Similarly, any firewall rules to allow inbound/outbound SMTP (or other -> HTTP/IMAP/POP... ) traffic will need to be modified or removed.

This isnt the first server. It is one of the 10 servers we have.
