Hopefully this is an easy one for you!
I want to log any message that is sent from my exchange server via SMTP. I only want to log outgoing messages and do not need to log the full message, I would just like to log the sender, recepient, subject and if possible the PC that originated the message.
Is this possible and if so how?
Many thanks in advance.

Hey,
I'm afraid the answer is no.
You can log the outbound SMTP conversation, but it captures more than a simple summary and won't include the originating PC.
The difficulty is, the PC would only be exposed on the MAPI connection in Outlook, or on the inbound SMTP service (depending on how the client connects). The inbound SMTP service won't directly match up to the external.
I know it's not an ideal answer, but it's likely to be why you haven't got one up to now.
