exchange 2007 Transaction Log is not truncated even after successful full backup

For one of our customers we have implemented Exchange 2007 SP1 x 64
Enterprise Mailbox Servers ( CCR Mailbox Servers ) in Windows 2003 R2 x64
Enterprise Operating system + 1 Hub + 1 Cas / Windows 2003 Ent r2 domain
controllers.

Setup was installed and brought online live during May 2008, Symantec
Netbackup 6.51 agents are installed in these servers and we where monitoring
on daily basis after full successfull backup the transaction logs are deleted
automatically in both the storage groups. From 1st week of September we have
found that the logs are not truncated in First Storage Group which is holding
the EDB Mailbox database, In the Second storage group which is holding public
store the logs are truncated where as in the second storage group the logs
are not cleared and it is accumulating.

For making sure we have also used NTBackup to take backup of the information
store only full backup, the backup is successfull but the logs in first
storage is not clearing but the backup is clearing second storage group logs.

We are worried about the disk space now, we need solution how to re enable
the transaction logs truncation.

Need expert help to solve this issue...

Are you backing up the passive node in the CCR cluster? If so you must use a VSS snapshot type backup, NTBackup does not currently support this configuration. NetBackup does support VSS but must be configured. I would check to make sure you are either backing up the active node, or double check your VSS settings. We run NetBackup here, but I have yet to configure VSS in Netbackup, so I can't really help you on that side of things.

Is the database reporting that it has been backed up? Run the EMS command in the code snippet below and ensure the correct output.

get-mailboxdatabase -status | fl Name, *backup*

i tryed running ntbackup in both active & passive node, backup is successfull but transcation log is not getting cleared.

while using netbackup we are taking backup using ccr virtual cluster name.
