Error running new-autodiscovervirtualdirectory
I am getting the following error when trying to recreate autodiscovervirtualdirecto ry

I already tried reinstalling iis and exchange CAS. no help there.

i doubt that. I should add that earlier i managed to create a new autodiscovervirtualdirecto ry in a website called "AutoDiscover" using that command. However i discovered i made an error creating a seperate website for that vdir, and deleted it again. now i get that error when trying to recreate the vdir in its orignal location.
So i have been able to run that command, for some reason i am unable to do so now.

But that is not the same problem, the command he is running in that post, is the command that is not working for me

There is an autodiscover vdir in LM\W3SVC\1\ROOT
I assume i should just delete that and try again?

Ok i deleted it, and was able to make a new autodiscover vdir. Thank you very much
A cause for this is maybe you are running Microsoft Internet Information Service (IIS) in 32 bit anyway check out this link:
