Hiding Distribution List from GAL , block users sending mass mailing.
My Exchange Server is 2003 with SP2.
I have more than 5000 Employees and all of them are member of Distribution List name "ALL EMPLOYEES". Some users are now sending promotions etc stuff with attachments to this Distribution list . I want to stop the users doing it. My question is
1. Is there anything I can do to hide the DL from the GAL for certain users ( Or allow this to be seen only to certain users ).
2. If I need to use any third party applications to achieve this . what would u suggest?
Thanks in advance.

Hi I just want to clarify something..i have the people allowed to send to this email address in the accept message section (only from) how do this affect people that have a send on behalf of permission for eg
Personal assistant who has send on behalf of CEO and the PA needs to send to all staff an email on behalf of CEO would she be allowed even when shes not on the allow list?

you can use that to configure permissions so that users with permissions only can send messages to the distribution list.
