Disappearing NDRs on Exchange 2003

OK, this is the situation. We have an Exchange 2003 server. On this we have a mailbox which is used to send a large number of E-mails each week. Incoming mail to the mailbox is forwarded to a distribution list. This all works fine...mostly.

However, if somebody logs on to the mailbox and sends a mail which then subsequently generates an NDR, that NDR just vanishes...it is not forwarded to the distribution list members, and nor is it sent to the manager of the distribution list. Exchange just eats it somewhere. This is a big problem because we need to know if any of the mails sent from this mailbox fail to get delivered.

Anyone encountered anything like this and know a solution that doesn't involve manually trawling the event logs for NDR reports?

And in the properties of the Distribution Group, under the Exchange Advanced tab, the item is checked to send delivery reports to the message orginator?

Well, that was embarrassingly simple--I could have sworn I'd changed that to "Send delivery reports to group owner", but it was set to send to message originator. Changed it, and the group manager is now receiving the NDRs, which is good enough for me! Thanks.
