SCR source AND Target?

I have two offices in my organization, each with a stand alone 2007 Exchange server. Is it possible to set up SCR on a storage group on each server to replicate to the other Exchange server. In other words, can an Exchange 2007 server be both an SCR target and SCR source at the same time? This would seem to be a very cheap DR solution for us.

so you have two separate working exchange servers, but SCR required a standby server, so no, not possible..

My reading of that is an active cluster can't be a target. Don't see anything about an Active stand alone server:

The endpoint for SCR is called the target, and the target can be either of the following:

    * Stand-alone Mailbox server that does not have LCR enabled for any storage groups
    * A standby cluster, which is a failover cluster where the Passive Clustered Mailbox role is installed, but no clustered mailbox server (e.g., no Active Clustered Mailbox role) has been installed in the cluster

We would have Stand-alone Mailbox servers that do not have LCR enabled that happen to be active.

sorry, your quite correct, standby is not stand-alone..

Have not tried this, but according to the example, it is possible. Although I do wonder about the replication traffic..
