Move public folder database from first storage group to second?

I accidentally created the public folder database in the first storage group instead of the second storage group. I would like to move it to the second storage group but don't seem to be able to. Is it possible to do this? If not what problems might occur by leaving it in the first storage group?

No real need to move it to another Storage Group. I'd leave it there just to save the work in moving a Public Folder database.

I presume you have moved the Transaction Log files and System files for your other storage group to another disk, and this is why you want the PF store in that group? You can simply move the system files for the First Storage Group to the same location and all will be well. In fact, I only ever configure servers (where possible) with one database per storage group.

This particular server only has a RAID 5, the server has a C and D partition but no real reason to move them so database and logs are on the D drive. I am basically in the process of moving from one Exchange 2007 server to another one.

Everything but the public folders have been moved and I was creating the public folder database on the new server and made it in the wrong place =\

So basically I just want it to look right, furthermore I need to figure out how to replicate/move everything from the old Exchange 2007 to this new one.

If you're yet to actually replicate the data to the new server, then zap the new public folder database and create it where you want it. I was under the impression it had data in it.

You'll probably need to create the new database, then re-target each mailbox database to the new Public Folder store (on the Client Settings tab in the Mailbox Store properties) before the old PF database can be deleted.

To move the replicas, there's a script called MoveAllReplicas.ps1 in C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\Scripts. If you run that from Exchange Management Shell, specifying the parameters -Server <old server name> -NewServer <new server name> it will automatically move the replicas. Don't forget it will take time for the data to replicate.

When the PF database is mounted and I go to remove it says

The public folder database 'Public Folder Database' cannot be deleted.

Public Folder Database
Failed
Error:
The public folder database "EXCHANGE-02\First Storage Group\Public Folder Database" contains folder replicas. Before deleting the public folder database, remove the folders or move the replicas to another public folder database. For detailed instructions about how to remove a public folder database, see http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=81409.

If I dismount the database and try to remove it I get

The public folder database 'Public Folder Database' cannot be deleted.

Public Folder Database
Failed
Error:
Exchange is unable to check the public folder replicas for "EXCHANGE02\First Storage Group\Public Folder Database". Verify the Microsoft Information Store service is running on EXCHANGE02.DOMAIN.COM and that the database is properly mounted.

MapiExceptionMdbOffline: Unable to determine if the store has local replicas (hr=0x80004005, ec=1142)

If I go to manage the public folders on EXCHANGE02 the only public folders that are there are system ones.
Move the database and log files to a different location and then try to remove the Public folder store...

I left it alone.
Left the database in the first storage group.
