FTP/HTTP Portal integration with Outlook - aka Sending large attachments
We've been looking at several FTP/HTTP solutions for sending large attachments to clients (and vice versa). Products like LeapFile and ShareFile allow you to post files to a hosted web server and then send a email with a link to download the file.
I'm looking for something similar but do not want a hosted solution. I want a product I can purchase, install and manage on site.
The ideal software would:
- Integrate with Outlook so the process is transparent to the user (i.e. allow them to attach files of any size, but then move those attachments to the FTP/HTTP server instead of sending it via email).
- Allow clients to upload files to a website and alert us via email that something has been uploaded.
- Must be an in-house solution (not hosted)
