How to connect iphone email to outlook web access?

Greetings, are there any email client's for iphone or android that use Outlook Web Access (as opposed to SMTP, etc) as their email source?  I recall a number of years ago that someone had developed a desktop client app that parsed Outlook Web Access to fetch and send emails.  This would be useful for me on my phone since 1 of my client's communicates with me through their corporate email system, but they do NOT allow relaying or forwarding.  They do however have OWA, but I have to check it all the time.  If my phone could easily fetch the mail through OWA that would be handy.

By the way, I'm not looking for a browser based solution.  I'm looking for a client that parses.

On iPhone's you also have Exchange ActiveSync. This will automatically sync with the mailbox and get you any new mails as it arrives in the mailbox.

P.S: Exchange ActiveSync should be configured at the server as well. Most probably it will already be configured there.

The BEST way to sync your emails on iPhones is to use Exchange ActiveSync, for more info check with the following links

Ideally ActiveSync should work out of the box but just make sure that you are all set up by doing a test @ http://testexchangeconnectivity.com
Its a wonderful site that has made life for a Exchange Admin a little easier than before as it suggests what is wrong and how to correct it..

I had one SBS2003 Exchange server for a client where the iPhone connected on the first attempt without any server configuration beyond the basic setup that I did when I installed the SBS server (basically, configuring the server certificate and enabling OMA). When I confidently tried it for another client, the iPHone could not connect. I had to go to a lot of sites, each providing different parts of the puzzle, before I got all the specifics configured correctly. I avoid IMAP/SMTP so I can keep SMTP locked down and agree with saakar rao about ActiveSync.

Basically  (in my case, Exchange 2003 as part of SBS2003), I had to:

1. Ensure Exchange 2003 was at SP2.
2. Forward ports 80 & 443 on the firewall to the Exchange server
3. Ensure that the server certificate (in IIS) was set up to match the external FQDN that would be used from the iPhone (i.e. the external DNS name of the firewall).
4. Run the IECW on the server and ensured that OMA was enabled.
5. Verified that the user was OMA-enabled in ActiveDirectory.
6. Set authentication methods to Integraed and Basic in IIS.
7.Grant all computers access to the exchange-oma site in IIS. Although some sites recommended making this accessible only to the local machine's IP address, this was the one thing that finally got the iPhones communicating with my server.
8. Configure the iPhone to use SSL and the public DNS name of the firewall.

Although several sites indicated that this could not be done with Forms-Based Authentication turned on, I did not have to change this.
