Exchange 2003\Outlook 2007 send as issue

Hi,

I have two emails setup on my active directory account. I want to be able to send an email from my exchange account as the other email address. When i add the from box and put in my other email address, i try and send to another address but its states " I do not have permmisons to send on the message on behalf of the specified user" ? I have send as permissions configured for myself?

How do i get round this or what is the best way to do it? I need to be able to send from both email addresses without changing the default SMTP in AD?

you can try the tool from ivasoft to send email from the secondary smtp address

In Active Directory Users and Computers go to the properties of the user - Exchange General Tab - Delievery Options and then add the other user.Do the same again for the second user.

There is no second user, it my account but just using another email address?

Oh Ok i am clear now.Actually in Exchange you can recieve on multiple email addresses but can send from only one email add.....

It will always send from the primary email add........

Use the ChooseFrom third party tool and that is it.

I just installed this on my exchange server and really dont see how it works? I have followed the instructions and sent an email from my PC but it still shows up the other end from my default smtp?

The demo version only work for john.doe@choosefromdemo.com</A> email address, you may read the instructions from ivasoft website.

Else you can create a dummy pop3 account with your secondary address and send the email's from secondary address (Refer the link for details)

Nice! i knew about creating the POP account but didn't relaise you could set that account to send only, otherwise i got duplicate emails.
