Question

exchange 2007 event id 2501 2152 2604 1121

Asked by: groupmidwest

My mail server hangs at applying computer settings.  I used another server to access the event log and found these event id's 2501 2152 2604 1121.  Checked my service and found my IS stopping, SA starting, and POP3 stopping. I've been at this for about 4-5 hours now.

Yes please verify ..
Microsoft knowledge base regarding USN rollback specifically for 2003?

1) Other than netlogon paused, the services of "Microsoft Exchange Information Store", "Microsoft Exchange System Attendant", "Microsoft Exchange POP3", "Microsoft Exchange IMAP4" cannot start automatically and have to wait until timeout. Are those services affected by the netlogon paused?

2) Ghost image is not the proper way for restoration. Is there any software for backup / restore the whole system (or even 3rd party software)?

Just to follow up. On this.

I spend nearly 4 hours on the phone with 2 different exchange tech at Microsoft to find out it was a simple permission problem.

All we had to do was add the Exchange servers group to Manage Auditing and Security logs.  I all ready had Exchange Enterprise servers group but was still missing Exchange servers group.
