Browse All TopicsHi Experts,
I have a user who is having an issue where his deleted reminders and tasks are still showing up in his reminder dialogue box.
Ive ran switches, ensured that it still happens in safe mode and checked the OWA.
Everything seems to be working normally client side, so I was wondering if you have any other ideas to fix the issue
Thanks in advance

I ran 2 command lines first:
1. /cleanreminders
2. /cleanprofile (this recreates the users outlook profile)
I also started outlook in safe mode and tested. The issue still occurred.
My next step was to try to uninstall outlook and reinstall it, but I wanted to make sure this wasnt anything server side.
The user also reported that this is happening on his laptop AND desktop.
Does this help at all? http://support.microsoft.c

Some people claim that running the /cleanfreebusy command seems to help a little bit as well. But in the end it only helps temporarily.
Do the users in your situation have Windows Mobile devices?
The only other thing I can think of would be to try using the MFCMAPI utility from Microsoft to find and remove the offending task/appointment from the user's mailbox. This is a tricky tool though, so tread lightly and make sure you have a good backup of the mailbox ahead of time.

When you say you have ran switches, do you mean commands like this one: start->run->outlook.exe /cleanreminders
