Yes its compatible........ but then you wont be able to utilize all the features of Exchange 2010

Thanks Apache19,

The Roadmap link that you provided only mentions Outlook 2003 and 2007 which is why I have posted the question. I am finding conflicting data on Outlook 2002 support and I have not had the time to build a test environment yet to verify myself.
If you check the first link right at the end of the article it says that Outlook 2002 is supported while outlook 2000 and previous versions arent........I am still curious to know why would you use outlook 2002 with Exchange 2010........Even if its supported I dont think your users would be able to access all the features ................

The budget request to refresh MS Office never gets approved because of the cost (probably will  hopefully become part of a desktop refresh over the next 2 years including Win 7 and Office 2010). We do own the rights to Office 2003 but getting the appropriate people interested in upgrading MS Office at all, testing app. compatibility and training users on the drastically different Outlook 2003 interface has caused it to never happen (Outlook 2003 with Office 2002XP has issues as well).
