Browse All TopicsI am in the process of removing our First exchange 2003 server. I am still on exchange 2003 just new hardware. I can't upgrade to 2007 for multiple reasons. I have done all the steps as a swing migration, as listed on www.amset.info (thanks sembee). When I shut off the first server ( the one that will go away) to test and make sure everything is working before I uninstall i have problems. The problem I am having is when i send an email to a distribution group it doesn't get delivered. The group is local users on the same server. Under the queue of the new server i see one message trying to go to the old server to an recipient in the group. If I turn on the old server the message comes through. I am able to send mail to individual recipients either internal or external.

That usually means the group has the expansion server to that server, rather than any. It is on the properties of the group.
