Question

URGENT - How to connect Outlook 2000 to Exchange 2007 running on SBS2008

Asked by: piotrmikula108

We just deployed a new SBS2008 running Exchange 2007 and found some machines on the network that still have Office 2000, I was not able to get Outlook 2000 connected to Exchange 2007, I did little research and found that it's not gonna work so the reason I'm writing this post is to verify that info and find out if there is maybe a workaround??? This is very important to me to find out if there is a workaround.

Thank you so much!

Are you not able to use OWA while you upgrade the 2000 clients?  That may at least be a stop-gap.  Still looking for additional "work-arounds".

BTW, there was a similar post here.  Doesn't offer much explanation but it seems possible.

Not to spam you on this (too late) but I read where you have to install the latest SP's on the client for the OWA to work with Exchange 2007!  Ok, off to bed.  Good luck and I will check back in the AM.

Outlook 2000 is not an option.

You will have to upgrade them.
