Asked by Greg27 in Exchange Email Server, Outlook Groupware Software
We have an Exchange 2003 Server and had a ton of spam that went out from one account. The person who owns that account has a personal laptop they use, but I am not sure they were in their office when the spam started flying. There was a death in the family, so I don't want to trouble them with this now, but I need to figure this out. She might have been using web mail from hom, but I am not aware that a virus would be able to use a web mail account. She may have been in the office, but again I think she might be using web mail. I do know she wasn;t in the office today when I was looking at about 10 undeliverable messages a second showing up in her Deleted Items folder. I finally had to just delete her account to stop them. Is there a way to tell where the messages that were undleiverable were originating? Might have been from another computer in our environment not owned by this user.
Thanks.
