Setup Local Continuous Replication for Exchange 2007

I will be configuring local continuous replication on a new Exchange 2007 server. The raid configuration will be setup with multiple hard drives attached to one controller.
Raid 1 > C: = OS
Raid 1 > D: = log files
Raid 5 > E: = mailbox DB
Which drive do you recommend I store the replicated DB on?

what about your available space ?

obviously configuring LCR on the same drive that has the maiblox is meaningless

Hi

LCR is like any other backup

You don't add a backup to same drives, that you have the data. If you have a problem with the disks, you have no data, and no backup.

So or do you have a Storage and create a LUN for thar server, or add a disk just to have LCR files.

LCR must be independent from the DATA.

You can put in the same drive\disk, it will work, but is not safe.

Can you create a smaller(small enough to hold the LCR) RAID just to hold the LCR?

No exteranl storage device is available. The DB is small (30 GB) so replicating the DB to an internal HD is my best option. I will pick the D: because it will have the largest amount of free space.
