A client of ours currently has two exchange servers, one at corporate and one at a colocation. They were using DoubleTake to replicate the entire server over the VPN however due to bandwidth problems this was not working. We decided that we would just restore from the previous days corporate backup to the colo if the time ever came.
Both servers are currently up and running in the same organization. My question is, if we use NTBackup (both servers are 2003) can we simply restore the backup to the colo server and be done with it or is it more involved?
I know we will also need to repoint MX, PTR, and A records but my question is in terms of getting Exchange data on the colo server and functional.
