Microsoft Exchange Relaying Spam!!! Please Help!

Asked by bmsbyrne in Exchange Email Server

Tags: Microsoft Exchange, Spam, 2003

Hi Folks,

We have an exchange 2003 SP2 installation on an SBS 2003 box that is causing massive problems. We appear to be sending email out from another email domain (other than our own). I can see this from the exchange queue that its being sent by another email domain. I have amended the address space on the outbound mail connector to only route for our domain and this helps a little - however I then see thousands of separate queues for the destined domains. I have scanned the server using our Av (Trend Micro Worry Free Advanced) and it hasn't found anything, I have also scanned each PC, diasbled System restore, run Stinger etc and its not made any differance...

We had a trojan on the LAN alright, but this PC has now been segmented away from the exchange box...

1. Is there a way for me to see what client PC's may be using this exchange server to relay these messages?
2. How can I block exchange from sending any emails outbound other than from its own email domain?
3. Any other suggestions?

Thanks in advance...
