Use Exchange 2007 Resource Calendar with iCal
Hello,
Does anyone know if it is possible to access a Exchange 2007 resource mailbox from iCall? We are testing accessing a hosted Exchange provider using both Outlook 2007 and Mac Mail, iCal and Address book, to see what features currently work on Macs with 10.6.1 and higher. We have five test accounts set up, and are comparing the features available in Outlook 2007 with the features available in Mac OS 10.6.x in Mac Mail, iCal and Address Book.
In iCal, we can access and share normal user calendars - I can share my calendar and see other users' calendars through iCal. This works fine. I created a resource mailbox called Conference Room. I can access the shared calendar for Conference Room in Outlook 2007. I can see the mailbox in iCal, when you add it in through Accounts, Delegation tab. But, under the Calendars tab the access level is always "No Access".
The folks at the hosted exchange provider are pretty good, but they are just begginning to support Mac Mail and they themselves don't know how to resolve this yet.
Facts: - They have Exchange 2007 with the latest service pack
I have a MacBook with OS 10.6.1 and a test Exchange account set up in Mac Mail, iCal and Address book. Most features work great - and I can access normal users' shared calendars in iCal.
Thanks
Mike
