How do I change my account password from Exchange 2010 OWA?

When I log into my Exchange 2010 email account through OWA and I attempt to change my password from the Options area, I receive an error stating:

This feature isn't supported in the light version of Outlook Web App.

This feature isn't supported if Outlook Web App is set to maximize the blind or low vision experience.

I believe that I am using the Premium version of OWA and I am not using the blind or low vision option.

The light version of Outlook Web App is what opens in any other browser besides Internet explorer.
Try it in IE and reply here if that still doesn't work.
Outlook Web Access Light for Exchange 2007 work very well, so I can change password without errors, however, all of this is under Firefox. Try to use IE and full version of OWA not Light. Another solution is check with admin some settings under Exchange 2010.

Best regards

I am using IE8 to connect and I am not checking the "Use Lightweight version".  I've noticed that if I hit the back button after receiving the error, there is another error stating:

A problem occurred while trying to change the password.
The domain name of the user couldn't be retrieved.

InfoSysNetworks, same situation here...
did u have RU2 installed?
Yes RU2 is installed.  This was happeing before and is still happening after RU2 was installed.
well, what i found...
My local Administrator accout with the same password as in AD can successfully open this page.
Next step i think we should try to recreate OWA and ECP virtual directories.

More info in my thread here:

You local Admin password is the same as you AD one right ?

looks to me like a miss match between the authentication of the ECP directory and the owa one.

can you please confirm that both directory are using the same authentication methods?
Both vDirectories are set to Basic authintication.
InfoSysNetworks, i founded the reason )

Let me try to guess. You installed EX14 in virtual environment (or on real hardware) from one tempalte OS image and didn't generalize it (with SYSPREP)?
dlSmlSS,

Yes you are correct.  What are my options at this point?  I am guessing that they aren't good.  We are in a VMware ESXi environment and I cloned a Windows 2008 R2 server from a template to build my Exchange 2010 server.

Thanks for passing along this knowledge.  I will look into this.  This is also probably the root cause of my authentication issues for autodiscover and Outlook Anywhere.  I need to keep the same hostname for SSL SAN cert purposes, so I probably have to uninstall and reinstall.  I am going to award you the 500 points.  Is it possible for us to discuss the SYSPREP procedure that you used?  I am familiar with what it is, but just haven't walked through it yet.
sysprep - another Q but... take a look at this small article. northing hard.

great find dlSmlSS !

thanks for sharing
Yes I agree.  Excellent investigating and much appreciation for sharing the knowledge with someone else in the same situation.  Were all of your "issues" fixed after this process?  I need to pass this info on to my boss and come up with a plan.
