Replicated Public folders cannot be seen by users in exchange 2003

Hi Guys
I have replicated Public folders from one exchange to other. both of the servers are on same AD domain.public folders are replicated on the other servers, everything looks the same. however if I unmount public folder on first server, then users cannot see those public folders anymore. I am doing this excercise to move Pub folders from 1 SG to 2 SG on the same server.

can you please suggest as to why users cannot see replicated pub folders when first exchange server public folder is unmounted? even though they are replicated fully!

thanks a lot
Aj

Thanks for your comments.

about first step, do I need to assign new pubic folder for each mailbox separatly?

No I have not created 2 pub folders on same server. plan is to move this pub folder from 1 server to 2 server. delete pub folder from 1 server and then create new pub folder in new SG as the current NTFS volume is corrupt.

thanks
Aj
There are two options,

1> From property page (in general tab) of each mailbox store, make changes to point to pubic store of new server manually.

2> Create a mailbox store policy and configure the default settings of General Tab. Then assign all mailbox stores to use that policy. http://www.msexchange.org/tutorials/Implementing_System_Policies.html
Thanks for the reply and article. I will get back to you soon
