Outlook 2003/2007 continously prompts for passwords using Exchange 2007 following migration
We recently migrated from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007. We created a new Ex 2007 W2K8 64bit server, migrated users over, and decommissioned the Exchange 2003 server.
Since that time, users (both domain members and non-domain members) have been prompted to enter their credentials. It's not every time, but enough times that it's causing an influx of support requests and annoying the users (even the owners).
I've searched all over the internet, and even though I've found several web sites where it's identified as a problem, I have yet to find a viable solution. I've tried all suggestions from all sites and to date, non were successful.
Any help anyone could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Check the permissions/authentication type on the IIS components for Exchange on your Client Access Server - this is especially probable if you are using Outlook Anywhere.

Thanks.. I think you may be on to something. The URL that Abhijitwaikar provided was very helpful in double checking the authentication settings in my IIS virtual directories. It turns out that my RPC only had Basic Authentication enabled and Windows Authentication was disabled.
I will hopefully know by tomorrow if that resolves the issue.

Thanks. I've found sites that said check IIS authentication methods, but nothing spelled it out like this. I was checking, but wasn't sure exactly what might be wrong. Appears my problem was that I did not have 'Windows Authentication' enabled on my RPC directory of my Exhchange IIS folder. The link did it.
Appreciate the help.. .

Needed Windows Authentication set to Enabled for my RPC virtual directory.
