Exchange 2010 - how to move mailboxes from an unmountd database?
hi All,
Well... I am in a pickle. For some reason my default Database is corrupted, it says it cant find some log files. So not sure what happened to them. Am I supposed to maintain them somehow like a SQL database where you shrink logfiles?
Anyway, how can I move the users over from the unmounted DB to a new one?
Thanks
Brian

I am trying ot figure out how to do step 3. Can you tell me more on that?
Mailbox store should be in dismounted state.
Go to Program Files\Exchsrvr\Bin then execute below command
isinteg -s servername -fix -test alltests
servername has to be you exchange server name.

Have you moved the old transaction logfiles? If not, move them and try to run the isinteg.

I should move the *.log files in the same folder and the *.edb file to a new folder?
Move *.log files some other folder. Keep the edb as it is.

gotcha.... Is almost 190,000 log files to much?
ASKER
there are 2 log files that cant be moved. Shall I try stop all services?
No try the isinteg

okay, I stoped the Exchange Store .service... and then deleted the 2 stubborn log files... then after that the store just seemed to mount itself..... So it seems its working now.....
