Hi Everyone,
I need to know how to remove a forward arrow off an email?

Hi Kdyer,
Sorry, not exactly what I am looking for. My mistake it doesn't read well.

I need to remove the forward flag off an email which has been forwarded onto someone. Nothing to do with disabling the forward/reply to all.

Sorry for the confusion

Basially so in my inbox, it does not show the message as being forwarded....
I suppose you could mark the message unread and then read after you forwarded the message?

I think what you are trying to do is manipulate the message store of Outlook..

I would be willing to bet that Sue Mosher has something for this at: http://www.slipstick.com/

Thanks,

Kent
It's definitely stored in the message somewhere. I saved a message to the desktop, forwarded it, then saved it again. When I copy them back in, the first one doesn't show as forwarded but the second one does. It's got to be in there somewhere. This may help: http://www.fileformat.info/format/outlookmsg/
I'll dig around a bit more. Very interesting question.
change the message format to plain text before forwarding or set your
forwarding options to include but not prefix.

Hi, LWBIT.

Sorry, I'm not clear on what you mean by "forwarded flag".  Can you explain?
If I'm understanding you correctly, you want to stop Outlook putting the > symbol in front of every line when you forward the mail?

If that's what you're looking for, this is what you need to do:
Click on Tools -> Options -> Email Options
Under the heading "On replies and forwards", change the setting from "Prefix each line of the original message" to simply "Include original message text".
Click on OK, and OK again
I was operating under the impression that he was talking about the little blue arrow it puts on the mail icon (unread is closed envelope, read is open envelope, if you replied it adds a red/pink arrow, if you forwarded it, it makes a blue arrow)
The author said "Basially so in my inbox, it does not show the message as being forwarded"

LWBIT, if I am wrong, please let me know before I dive back in to the .msg file format today
On re-reading the whole thread I'd say you're probably right Tommy!

Hi Tommy,
Yes that is right, sorry for the confusion everyone. I need to have that little blue arrow go away on a single message if possible, not something I want to turn off all the time, I just need to have it removed from a single message that has already been forwarded.

Cheers
