Exchange 2010 Adding CAS role -

Hello,

I am trying to add the CAS role to an existing exchange server (Server2). The server currently has the Mailbox role installed. When i run setup and add the role, i get this error:

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
Summary: 3 item(s). 1 succeeded, 1 failed.

Preparing Setup

Client Access Role

Error:
The following error was generated when "$error.Clear(); get-OfflineAddressBook -DomainController $RoleDomainController | where { $_.IsDefault } | Enable-OabWebDistribution" was run: "Exchange server "Public Folder Database 0806148593" was not found. Please make sure you have typed it correctly.".

Exchange server "Public Folder Database 0806148593" was not found. Please make sure you have typed it correctly.

I Attempted the fix here (http://www.jwarburton.com/mt/tech/2007/02/) however, this did not get me any closer.

The current environment is 2 Exchange Servers

Server 1
 - Mailbox
 - Cas
 - Routing

Server 2
 - Mailbox.

Thanks,
Matt

When i try to edit the PF address book, i get

Was this originally a clean install of Exchange 2010, or was it upgraded from a previous version?  Can you find the public folder mentioned in the Exchange Management Console?

It was an upgrade from Exchange 2003. Yes i can find the PF in the EMC.
Want to check the correct value for the attribute MSExchOwningPFTree

Error message when you try to mount the public folder store in Exchange 2000: "An internal processing error has occurred. ID no: c1041724"

I'm not sure referencing KB articles for a very old version of Exchange is very helpful...

When you refer to the PF address book, is this a contacts folder within the public folders, or the offline address book?  Offline Address Book handling changed significantly between Exchange 2003 and 2010 (in 2003 it was stored in the public folder tree, but since 2007 this is no longer the default), and the issue you are having may be related to the upgrade.

If you run the Exchange BPA (from the management console), are any issues flagged up here?
