I am not aware of any issues with free/busy as long as the migration is performed properly.
None if the migrations I have done have been the same, they have all had their little quirks. It's impossible to give you a complete proposal without looking at your system. Each is unique.

I have been assigned to make a report on migration of 10,000 seats the plan is attached, please tell how to proceed. It has to be done for notes, ms server 2003 to ms server 2007.

As mentioned earlier, files that have links with other files, such as spreadsheet files that are dependent upon other spreadsheets, might not be good candidates for migration.

I tried the migration in a test domain and was getting the error in installing the DHCP service. Everytime it goes to a loopback. Also after restarting NETLOGON service DNS enteries are not added to the windows 2008 DNS.
There shall be more to ask however I need help first on this.

Firstly your initial question mentioned brief steps. You also mentioned in your question Exchange 2003 and 2007.
You made no mention of 10,000 users, or notes or moving to hosted Exchange.
Either you are confused as to what it is you want to achieve or the images and posts above are related to an entirely different project to your original question.
My advice, in al seriousness, hire a consultant to properly advise you on the steps and process involved in such a huge migration.
I would normally take weeks planning a migration of this size.

Are you moving from Notes to Exchange? If so there are many items you need to properly plan for. Notes is mail, files..and can get tricky
Auric 1983 the graphic plan does relate to the complete migration. demazter you see the image here clearly points out to the entire infrastructure transfer, now few of the users are on the notes and few on 2003. Scott this question still goes to the initial post. However this time it is just the report that I have to make. Actual shall be done after lot of planning and I shall be a part of it not the Owner. It shall be great if you all can explain the query coming in I mentioned. Also the vital resources if any that have to be used or added in transferring the bulk of Information. I have to just make a report.

paulsolov I am opening a new question on the cost that you shall consider it. all the experts goes to you all. Initially I said this BRIEF ANSWER because in EE once someone asked such type of question and straight answer was hire a consultant. Why should one come to EE if we have to hire a consultant. I am not doing any migration, however publishing a report. DEMATZER HAS MENTIONED THAT HE HAS DONE MANY MIGRATIONS therefore I am trying to approach like a disciple to a Guru. If I shall need any help in migration I have to approach him or you all. Earlier I have worked for two years in lotus notes for GE. I started the carrier at 2005 now I am with some other company it is bankrupt. I am jobless for about 1.5 years. I am submitting the report because this company asked me for a favor. I am jobless because I did not go for job since home and other issues. I shall end up here now I am ready again for the job because issues have ended not resolved very deep thing to understand.

Actually your 5 steps are best. However article you have mentioned is for SBS also it is confusing and shall raise many queries if related to the question I asked.. If really wish to say I need a detailed answer.
MinoDC I think the article there describes more on the migration than how to do a migration. If there are steps to install exchange server, then why not to migrate it?
