The remote laptops are already configured for RPC over HTTP.  When put in the normal credentials (tried ever credential standard) and it doesn't connect.  It had the old email server listed (internal non public DNS record name) for Exchange 2003 that's how RPC over HTTP would connect.  Since then I changed it to the public DNS name and still no luck.

My iphones connect just fine..  Just can't get Outlook 2007 RPC over HTTP to connect.
RPC over HTTP tests are failing.. What should I check?

Did you migrated from Exchange 2003/2007 to 2010?
It should work as long as you have redirected port 443 on the firewall to the IP address of the Exchange 2010 server instead of the OLD server.

It would be installed on a CAS Server. OMG you didn't have it on?

This is a new migration...  The pre-requisite check didn't prompt me and I assume that component was installed.  Once following the test site you sent me it made me look further into the basic config of RPC over HTTP.  I looked to see if the feature was installed and it wasn't. I'm surprise the CAS install let me enable Outlook Anywhere with this feature not installed..  Anyway.. I installed it and 1 min later RPC over HTTP is working.... easy fix.
After troubleshooting via the link posted it made me look further into RPC over HTTP.  The feature was never installed and surprised installing the CAS role didn't install when enabling Outlook Anywhere.. Once installed everything worked well.
