Exchange 2010 schema master install error

Greetings, installing exchange 2010. It is in a different AD site than the domain schema master. I ran setup / prepareAD on a 2008 R2 server in the office and it completed successfully. This was two days ago. My schema master is 2003 32-bit. Help from the install points to a 2007 article stating to move to the site where schema master is or change the IP to the subnet the schema master is in. I've also read about moving the Schema master role to the site where the install is taking place and then moving it back.

Any suggestions very much appreciated. I need to get this installed. I have. 2003 excha be server in the office (default first site) so not sure how moving the schema master would affect that.

Thanks

Thanks seth2740. I was going to do that but decided to run prepareSchema and prepareAD once again on a 2008 R2 server in the same site as my schema master. After each cmd I forced replication between sites. I then rebooted the 2010 exchange server, after which the prerequisite were met and the install went fine.

Again, thx for posting on a Friday night.
