exBPA best practices report xml
Our admin has produced a copy of exchange 2010 best practices analyzer report (its in XML), from what I gather now BPA is part of the exchange install and isnt a standalone software, so if I dont have access to the exchange server how can I view the report, are there any tools to view the reports?

Would you have to save the actual XML report somewhere on disc though so it can view it, i.e. what directory does the report need dropping into? Thats quite an old file, its from 2007. Are you sure thats the right BPA for 2010? Or is it version neutral?

Note Exchange Best Practices Analyzer v2.8 should not be used to scan Exchange Server 2007 and Exchange Server 2010. In Exchange Server 2007 and Exchange Server 2010, the Best Practices Analyzer is installed during Exchange Setup and can be run from the Exchange Management Console Toolbox.

When you say it does work though, is there a folder I need to drop this XML file into so I can view the report in the software?
If not generating the xml, use XML notepad. Install and point to your .xml file and it will read it..

Not sure if we are getting wires crossed here, but I have a copy of a BPA scan run from the server by an admin, they've just sent me the XML file, I assumed in order to be able to open and view the report in the BPA software you've linked to, I'd have to save that XML file in a certain directory on my computers hard drive?

Soall in all you don't really need to bother downloading to bpa to view the results?
yup, i though you wanted to run/generate your own report (answering in between meetings)
