When mail sent to address A , the mail lands in address B - Exchange 2007

Hi

We use exchange 2007 in our organisation.
I was told to create a shared mail account called account called Marketing, so that any queries related to marketing goes into this to the shared mail box.

On the AD I first created account called Marketing then  I went the exchange EMC and under  Recipient configuration I created  a new user  mailbox and created a mail box for the existing users and added the marketing  account.

It successfully created and under the display name it is listed as: marketing
But under the Primary SMTP Address it is listed as marketing2@domain.com
Also now its 5 days after I created and I can’t see Marketing in the global address book. It is not hidden from the Exchange address list.

But if I search in the OWA  for the marketing address , it shows as
marketing 2@domain.local

From my outlook if I send a mail to marketing mail address , I can’t see the mail in the marketing inbox. But the mail goes to some mail box (I don’t get any bounce back message). When I started investigation this I found ,my predecessors have configured another mailbox called MarketingMaster .I reset the password for this mail account and opened and found all the test mail that I had sent to marketing@domain.local account  had landed in MarketingMaster mailbox.

Now, we have set up a google account for this we had given this marketing@domain.local  address for verification .I had got a message saying:
Verification mail has been sent to marketing@domain.local . Please access your email and visit the verification URL provided in order to activate your google account.

This verification mail is now landed in marketingmaster mail box. If I am right if I click the verification link to activate, then google will be receiving mail from marketingmaster@domain.local   and I don’t know how this is going to work and if google sees that verification response mail has come from marketingmaster account.

When I go to marketing master mailbox properties. Under email addresses and under SMTP I can see three addresses listed and marketingmaster address is bold.
intranet@domain.local
marketingmaster@domain.local
marketing@domain.local

Is it possible to remove the marketingmaster account and have the marketing instead.
If I leave this as it is if the users send email to marketing@domain.local and if I reply from this mail box the recipient will see that the reply mail  has come from marketingmaster  mail address, which is bit confusing.

Please suggest and how to sort this.
Many thanks in advance

Please post me some tutorials

How do I remove the  marketing email alias from marketingmaster

Do I need to remove the marketing from marketingmaster mailbox properties. Under email addresses and under SMTP.

Also "You will need to make sure that you remove the "Update email address based on the email address policy" to change the email address of the New Marketing".

After removing marketing , do I need to untick "Update email address based on the email address policy"    and say Ok

Thanks
