Exchange 2010 Mail CA
Hi Experts,
We have two VM exchange Mail CAs, and recently after applying windows updates, one of them crashed.
I can build a new VM but what about he reference to the old crashed CA? I dont like to keep obsolete records in the environment.

Personally I don't leave recovered servers in production. I recover them, remove them then do a "proper" build, usually with a new name. You don't know what else could have happened in the background that you cannot see, so new build is always the best option.

Just to make sure, so if i do want to keep two CAs in my environment, and if i can build a new vm with the same name join to domain then install the role with the switch you mentioned, do i still need to remove it? the remove bit is to get rid of the reference and the CA completely, isnt it?
