SBS 2003 - Outlook Web App Issue

Hi,

We have just taken over the IT for a client that runs 2003 SBS (I know they need to upgrade)

Anyway the emails work ok on exchange internally it's just it will not connect remotely on the phones. This is what I have tested so far.

- we cannot connect to \\localhost\exchange internally nor externally. (\\serverip\exchange)
- port 443 is open on the router
- IIS and all exchange services are running
- I can see the 'Exchange' site under the IIS manager
- we have re run the repair internet and email wizard under server management

Anything else you can think of? I have sent the client a new quote to upgrade their server and possibly hosted exchange.

Thanks
R

Please have a read through my Exchange 2003 / Activesync article which should fix both OWA and Activesync for you once you get one working!

https://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Server_Software/Email_Servers/Exchange/A_1798-Exchange-2003-Activesync-Connection-Problems-FAQ.html

If you have any questions or get stuck anywhere, please let me know and I'll see what I can do to assist.

It may be as simple as following method 2 of KB883380 to reset the Virtual Directories which is outlined in my article.

No probs - it's a meaty article, and if you need more, there is some more info in my blog article:

Hi,

Please try to run below link to double check the configuration of ActiveSync:
https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/

It's more helpful to narrow down the issue.
That link is in my article :)
