Send an alert if mail waiting exceeds a limit

Asked by Gary_Brown_Applied in Lotus Domino Email Server, Lotus Notes

Hi Experts,

I am wanting to get my Domino server to send me a message if the number of messages waiting for delivery exceeds a certian (probably 5) number.

Had a situation today where a whole bunch of messages (200+) were not delivered for ~6 hours. Once the issue was raised I rebooted the server and messages were sent (I dont know the root cause of the problem) but figured I should be able to be alerted if the messages start to backup.

I am aware of the mail.waiting statistic available in the Administratior console under Server / Statistics but do not know how to create an alert.

Thanks for your help,
Regards,
