The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Why DB.ftsearch retreiving every document in database ?

Asked by codeguru14 in Lotus Domino Email Server, Lotus Notes

Tags: , , , ,

Hi ,

I have developed a website using Lotus Notes. The "Seach" part in this website is bit difficult part for me. I have developed a lotus script agent which gathers the result contents and populate in the search form on webqueryopen event.

I also have a profile document which has many search parameters defined such as statistic database,no. of results per page etc.

Now using these parameters I am performing a db.ftsearch , which results documentcollection. I then go through these documents , get the scent and then generate html and store that in a string. Result is working absolutely fine in most of the cases except few.

If i search for "max","mon","time" then everytime it results every document in search result. Similarly if i seach for my own name (first name), or the manager's first name (as listed in database ACL) , again i get all documents. say 124 documents every time.

I searched for "date" and the query failed.

To be more precise, I have a field "PageStatus" set to "web" when document is online. That is also a part of search query.

Queries and the resulted collection count are as following :
(([PageStatus] = Web)) AND ((max)) - col.Count=128
(([PageStatus] = Web)) AND ((mon)) - col.Count=128
(([PageStatus] = Web)) AND ((frank)) - col.Count=128
(([PageStatus] = Web)) AND ((technology)) - col.Count=1

and so on ...

Could you please guide me if I am wrong somewhere ? Start Free Trial
