Using Lotus Notes is it possible to extract text only from a rich text field?

Hi,

I have a form that has a number of rich text fields that contain both text and attachments. I need to replace the rich text fields with rich text lite fields restricting the new fields to contain only attachments.

Is there a way using either formula language or lotus script that would allow me to extract any text in a rich text field and copy to a new text field??
